Hi Everyone:

First, the staff would like to thank all for their opinion and feedback regarding the 120 Day requirement to change the logon password.

After doing much research on this subject and consulting among the Admin staff, it has been decided that the 120 day password change requirement would be lifted. It is now up to you as an individual to protect and keep your password up to date as you desire.

Therefore, if you wish to use the same password for a month, 6 months, one year, or 6 years is up to you.

Some folks have asked what we have in our data base that is sensitive. The only data that may be sensitive to some of you is your date of birth. So if you were born January 1, 1999, that will be listed unless you tell us not to list it. :wink

Again, our thanks to all who chimed in on this and a special thanks to our good friend Keith who brought this up so politely and diplomatically.

Charlie

What can I say?
Let me be the first one to thank the admins for deciding to eliminate that 120-day password change requirement.

And thanks to Keith for his diplomatic approach to this. We had discussed this issue at least twice before that I know of, but at those times with no resolution.

Thank you for making the change, and listening to the forum members feedback.

I know I had an issue the last two times where it required multiple changes, before I realized how to fix it.

Thanks Charlie, other mods/admins, and concerned members about this password issue - for me, I still maintain a post-retirement Web Outlook address at the local medical center, my past employer - every few months, I need to change the password and invariably get locked out - takes a call, half hour hold on the line, and an IT interaction w/ security questions to get me back on line, a real PITA! Luckily, it's now the only place I need to worry about this issue. Dave :)

Good morning Charlie,

I thank not only you but also the rest of the Admin committee for your and their compassion in dealing so swiftly with the "Password change" dilemma. I feel that I am not alone in breathing a sigh of relief at the abolishment of the requirement.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart (a wee bit dramatic there) but you all know what I mean. Thank you Charlie!

Best regards from Keith in Derby England.

I too would like to add my thanks, to Charlie and the rest of the admins for this site in responding so positively and promptly to our (the members) pleas and views on this matter.
I think we have a true democracy at work here in these forums and that is pretty rare in these times.
Congratulations to us all.

Thank you to all of the Mods and Admins. I haven't been hit with the 120 day requirement (Don't know why not, but not complaining about that.) so I have not chimed in. But abolishing the requirement was a good decision and I applaud it.
