So this morning to compound my problems with the M-Forums iOS app on iPad Safari on MBP refused to recognize password so considering it's been about 6 months since the last change I used the Forgot Password button entered my email and received the "reset password instructions have been sent to your email address." I was then returned to the home page. But no email received so i don't know if this post will work on Firefox but it's all I've got now.

In addition to the above i just realized i have not received an email notification from [email protected] since the 12/06. For some reason the forum is working on Firefox, for now.

SOLVED:
Despite the fact that it was working for a while it turns out it was my user name that was incorrect not my password. Logged in on Safari with my new user name (oddly it had already changed on Firefox which is what tipped me off) and now up and running on MBP. I'll check the other logins on M-Forums iOS and iPad browser and hopefully fix them as well.

Gosh this frustrating. Now the iOS app works on my iPad but not iPhone and Safari which was working asked me to login to edit this post and now will no longer allow me to login with the previously successful user name and password and I still hve not received an email from Mac Forums re my password request.

Sorry Ian, this must be driving you nutty.

You bet!

Still, I'm sure that Nick and the others are working very hard to sort things. Been a lot of innovations recently. Takes time. PMs don't always get through as well - intermittent; that's the difficulty.

I did work out why I wasn't getting email notifications on posts in MF's. Apparently photo backups had changed to "Originals" instead of "High Quality" they had filled my Google Drive free 15Gb allowance which was preventing me from receiving or sending emails from my Gmail account. I have fixed that.

I'm now wondering if that had anything to do with my login issues as my user email for MFs is my Gmail address. Seems a bit obscure but who knows?
