I just tried uploading an avater but it doesn't seem to be appearing with all my posts... is it supposed to ?

Since Bob has also posted on the same issue, I'm not sure if the usual method of setting up an avatar is not working? But to add a 'custom avatar', see my screen capture below - go into Settings -> Edit Avatar; if you want to upload your own, then pick 'Choose File' and browse your computer's drive - note the restrictions on size. If these directions to not work, then likely another problem? Dave

Yeah, that's what I'd done in the first place. The weird thing is that for me the avater (not the profile picture) appears in my profile but not in my posts, yet for other members, the avater appears in the posts but not in the profile

is this due to a forum software change as such?

Well, double-check the size of the images - for a 'profile pic', 150x150 pixels is the max vs. 100x100 pixels for an avatar - if that does not help, then one of the mods may have to help and adjust your settings. Dave
