You folks have been great for info and advise! Thank you for this.

What I will ask is if I post something in the wrong place, at least tell me where it should be.
Moving it is one thing, but I'd like to get it right.

On the other side is if I post something not exceptable, please in your responses don't allude to it, say it!
I pushed on a thread because I knew it could be done and wanted to know if someone had.
What I didn't know was it was not, shall I say, normal..

So please, if I post wrong (place or subject) be up front about it.
I'm still learning here.

Thank you for your post.

Most of the things you mention are up to the Admins and Moderators. The general rules are laid out in the Forum guidelines.

But I can assist you with one thing. If a thread is moved from one place to another, you, and all cokntributors, will get an email advisory when anyone posts to the thread. This applies to all threads - the minute someone adds to the thread, everyone associated with that thread gets an email.

I think you will enjoy being part of our community.

Good luck.

As I discussed in one of your other threads, choosing the right forum and an instructive and concise title will attract more attention and from those members who are selective (and likely more knowledgeable) in reading specific forums. You've already started this thread in the right area, but just to review w/ some 'screen captures'.

The first image below points to clicking on the 'Home/Forum' heading to list the main topic area and their forum listing - second image shows three of the most common areas to post a 'new thread'; simply pick an appropriate area for your question(s) - and the last image shows the 'Apple Notebooks' picked and the icon to start a new thread. This looks like belated advice but hope that the pics confirm your learning so far - good luck. Dave :)

Whenever a post is moved...and you are in the thread...all you need to do is look at the top of the page for the path...and you will see where it is.:)

I'm not really sure where the confusion is here?? If you post something unacceptable...you WILL be told about it. If it's a minor infraction you will get an official warning. If it's more than a minor infraction you may get a temporary suspension and/or reduction in reputation. And if it's a major infraction...you will be banned.

Please read up on the Community Rules to get an idea of what is & is not acceptable:
