But Can't I Have Both

Main is the Quad 2.5 GHz G5, but this is because of FCP & DVD Studio Pro, I feel cramped editing on a laptop.

I love my PowerBoor G4, but it is just for portability. The work takes place on the desktop.

You should have offered an option for "Both". When at home my QUAD is my prime computer, but when I'm out on business for extended periods my iBooks becomes the prime computer.

I like both. My laptop allows me to sit in my garden and potter around on the internet and allows me to take all my work to college and and bring it home again. And my desktop allows me to run downloads and encode video with out any problems and it I can also leave it on for longer periods of time depending on what i download.

But if I had to choose... It would have to be my MacBook

I've used laptops but I'm on a desktop now. When the new "powermacs" come out I'll get one of them, I need the extra power and options now. I'd get both if I could though.lol.

I want a lappy. I just got a Mini, and I'm selling my PC so I think I can get an older iBook for under $400

Desktop for me. I just couldn't imagine working on my laptop all of the time.

My G4 15" PowerBook is my main computer, and my Cube is a secondary one for mainly music (or streaming if I'm not at my desk).

The 15" screen is a little small, but when I get my MBP for Uni this September, I'll be buying a nice external widescreen to have a dual display setup, plus a Griffin Elevator + Apple KB/MM.
