Hi out there,

I just installed gfortran on OS X Lion. My simple fortran routine just combines single data files to a big one. But the results are very very different when using gfortran and the Microsoft compiler (on a ... sorry ... windows machine). I can not find why the results of gfortran are so strange. In the picture enclosed you can see on the top the result of gfortran, and the result of the Microsoft fortran compiler at the bottom.

Has anybody else made such experiences? Can I trust gfortran?

Thanks a lot.

Harald

solved

Hi,

I was able to solve this problem by just setting *all* variables to double precision.

Thanks for reading,

Harald
