I'm looking at a Imac G4 that someone is selling. Before making him an offer, I wanted to do a price check.

Here are the Specs.

Imac G4 17"
1Ghz
Jaguar 10.2
256MB RAM
KB/MOUSE
80GB HDD

Looks to be in pretty nice condition.
I was going to offer about $650, considering that I will want to add at least a GB of RAM and Tiger.

I wouldn't offer any more than that. In fact, I would start lower. Maybe offer $500 first, then slowly work up to $650.

I suggest doing a price check at www.everymac.com or www.ebay.com
