I have an older MagSafe adapter, the kind that came with the original MacBook Pro model. It no longer charges (i.e. the light stays off), but does supply AC power to the machine. I have since replaced it with a new adapter, but I hate to throw it out since it does work to some extent.

If anyone wants it, they can have it for shipping cost. I'd be willing to send it USPS, anywhere in the continental US. It will come with the "duck head" power connector and the extension cord.

85W MagSafe adapter query: Still on the loose?

Hi Mr. Mod.
If you still have this 85W adapter available, I could certainly use it. My daughter has had no end of troubles with her MacBook adapters. First her puppy chewed up the original 60W one; then I gave her my own 85W MBP adapter; now, that one just stopped working (probably exceeded the Apple timeout feature by a couple of months, anyway).

So yes, while I look for a good, non-Apple replacement 85 watter, I could definitely use your old adapter should you still have it. (yep, I'm new here. But have been lurking for years.)

Sorry to say it, but I ended up throwing it out. If you need a replacement. Check out otherworldcomputing.com for a cheaper replacement. That's where I ended up getting mine from and it was good as new.

No problem. You were generous to offer it in the first place. :)
