I'm looking to trade this mac mini rig for a relatively new iMac. Make me an offer!

Included with this mac mini is everything you need to record and playback HDTV broadcasts (either ATSC or clear QAM) on your Mac Mini--even fresh batteries for the bluetooth mouse and keyboard. All you need to do is provide the HDTV (or monitor) and surround sound.

Here's a link to pictures: Picasa Web Albums - John - macmini

I bought all this about a year ago. About a month ago, my wife and I decided that we were going to try a year without TV. SO...I'm parting with this very cool set up. Here's what you get:

* 1.83 GHz Mac Mini (Intel Core Duo, 512 MB RAM, 80GB HDD, SuperDrive, Mac OS 10.4, AirPort Extreme, Bluetooth 2.0, Apple Remote, Power Supply, Install/Restore DVDs, Printed & Electronic Documentation)
* AcomData Mini Pal 500GB External Harddisk Drive (HDD) (7200 RPM, same footprint and design as the Mac Mini)
* Elegato EyeTV 250 Plus ATSC/NTSC/QAM Tuner and Video Converter (with EyeTV 2 Software)
* Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard
* Apple Wireless Bluetooth Mighty Mouse
* AppleCare extended warranty (It's still unregistered. You can register it in your name. It still has almost 2 years on it)
* Premium 6' DVI to HDMI cable - for enjoying a 100% digital image
* Premium 6' Optical cable (with mini optical adapter that you'll need to get optical out of the Mac Mini) - for enjoying 5.1 Dolby Digital out of the Mac Mini
* Fully-registered Remote Buddy software (makes your apple remote incredibly more useful)
* Fully-registered DisplayConfigX software (helps you get the output resolution of the mini perfectly calibrated for your HDTV)

The Mac Mini, Acomdata Mini Pal, Elgato EyeTV Hybrid, AppleCare, and Apple Wireless Bluetooth Mouse all come in their original packaging and with all standard accessories they shipped with from the factory. (I don't have the box for the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard but I do have the original instruction manual and software disc.) Everything is in excellent condition and comes from a smoke-free home. All the gear has been plugged into an UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply--battery backup) to protect it from surges.

As you can see in the pictures, the MiniPal HDD and the EyeTV 250 Plus are the same style as the Mac Mini. The MiniPal looks just like the Mac Mini and is the same size; the EyeTV 250 Plus looks the same but is smaller. Having all three units stacked on top of each other looks great under your HDTV. There's enough storage on the 500GB external HDD to record 60 hours of HDTV broadcasts. Or you could transfer DVDs to the HDD and then cue them for playback using Remote Buddy.

You will receive the system with a clean install of the operating system (with all system updates), Remote Buddy, and DisplayConfigX. I will not install the EyeTV 2 software because you will want to install it and configure it for your location. The MiniPal external HDD will be reformatted, too.

Yes, this is the only thing I ever use for TV shows as well.

The office and Chuck.

You wouldn't believe how much time you save!
