ok, the g4 does NOT have a power supply....so does anyone know where i might find one at a good price?

Also, is there suppose to be a cdrom/dvdrom cage? cause i dont seem to have that.

But any ideas on the power supply i can deal with the dv cage later.

Ok no supply sure explains your problem. Here is a link to purchase:-

Get the full specs of the supply as reports are there is no/little difference between Mac and PC power supplies so you may be able to save a little there.

The Superdrive/Combo drive, depending on your model, sits immediately behind the mirror doors, on the left when you open the side door. Hope you did not buy this machine as sure seems to be short of parts.

yeah i bought it from mac of all trades.....it said case and motherboard, in the describtion it said power supplies in these units do not work, i was just hoping they left it in there so i could fix it....but they took it out...but i did expect the hdd and cd sleds to be in there, i mean the case and botherboard 25, 40 after s&h, still a good deal....mobos go for like 60 or 70 i think on ebay, and case range from 15 and up. soon as i get my new psu for my pc im gonna take the one out of it now and try to rig something up on the mac.

Oh man, you don't even want to know how many mirror towers we've thrown out just for being too old this year at work! I had no idea that those PSUs cost so much!

This is one of the main recyclers that picks that stuff up when we get rid of it: http://www.agreenspan.org/contact.html
Maybe they still have some componants.
