Im in need of a 512mg SO-DIMM DDR 266.....i am willing to trade 2-256mg DDR 266 DIMMS, plus 1-256mg DDR SO-DIMM.

Thats 768mg for 512mg

All of the chips i want to trade came from my 2 17inch imacs they are all pc2100 (266 ddr)

made mistake. I and tradeing (1) 256mg DDR 266 DIMM, (1) 512mg DDR 333 DIMM, (1) 256mg DDR 266 SO-DIMM.

All for (1) 512mg DDR 266 SO-DIMM

These modules came from your 17" iMac(s)?

If they did, then they are PC100 and NOT DDR RAM. iMac's don't support DDR at all, and come standard with PC100 RAM because that is the speed of the bus. You can use PC133 if you wish, and it will just be clocked at 100.

And don't I feel like a schmuck :)

I forgot they upgraded the RAM in the iMacs to DDR. I unfortunetly have the 800 MHz iMac and just missed the upgrade by a couple of months.

I shouldn't say unfortunetly, because I still have a 17" iMac :)

I apologize for my ignorance...

LOL no prob. The 2 pc2100 (266) chips came from my 2 imacs, the other 512mg 333 came from a powermac.
