I want to make and link several voice files that can be recorded to a cd or dvd that can be played on both Mac and Windows and hopefully on a cd player. The voice files are recounts of personal history.
I'm looking for suggestions regarding the best software to use for this task and suggestions regarding the editing and organizing of the files.
I'm using a G4 powerbook and running OS 10.5. I have a good quality usb microphone.

have a look at iRecord - I think it records any sound input to Mp3
