so i bought my new imac to day. very swish.

BUT im having issues connecting to my network hard drive. dont ask me the brand, it was a no name external enclosure i found on the cheap but it has samba and everything i need for it to work great on windows.

now ive done the whole "connect to server" ... entered in smb://192.168.2.2 and its asked me what folder i wish to mount. it connects fine, no errors.

one problem is that the folder comes up empty on my mac but not on my pc, am i doing something wrong? or is this an interoperability issue because the drive is windows based? (i know NOTHING about macs okay? pretend your explaining it to a pine nut ;D )
