DVD Playing -> Special Features Disc

I bought a movie and it has a "Special Features CD" thing on the disc so whenever I put it in my computer, it goes to the special features menu in the DVD player application. I want to play the actual movie that plays in the conventional DVD player... how do I do this?!
I've tried a ton of things in VLC and I can't seem to figure it out.

Normally you would just select the Main Menu from that screen.

It would be helpful if you told us what disk it is. That way, if anyone has it they can try it out on their machine.

Thanks for the input. I had a friend go through it manually and he eventually found the file, it's a pretty obscure movie and obviously not set up well!
