I have an old laser printer that works perfectly well, and I absolutely don't want to replace it. Unfortunately, I did not see this model listed when I attempted to set it up. I checked on Samsung's website and I didn't find a Mac driver there. I only found Windoze and Linux drivers. Anyone had any luck getting this to work?

The printer is attached to my Windoze box right now. I can actually see the printer from my Mac, and when I attempt to print to it the printer warms up like it's going to print but then it does nothing. The print job disappears from the Mac print spooler, but nothing ever prints.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

I'm attempting to give this a shot, but I'm not 100% sure what to do with it. It's a .sit file, so I think I have to get some kind of archive tool to extract it. Thanks for pointing me in this direction. Once I get this extracted hopefully I'll be able to figure it out.

Well for one thing that .sit file doesn't me sit there and scratch your head (lol).
Ask about and Google it maybe search this forum.

HANG ON I think I have got some thing.

Some info I found
If you can't find the driver try reinstalling the printer drivers from the OS X system CDs or DVD. To eliminate a printer defect run a test print following the instructions in the 1710 manual. Also check your USB cable. Sometimes cheap cables won't work well (or at all).

Samsung has dropped Mac support in North America but you can get the file from the British or Australian web sites.

I got this from

Have a look see if you can find any thing else.

Shoot doesn't look like they do drivers for mac
