Friend brought me their computer Friday to work on.

I've been playing ignorant with most people for a few months, but he already knows I know what to do.

He's got a bunch of pic's on it he can't afford to lose, and I couldn't even get anywhere long enough to back them up and wipe the drive. Have to do some cleaning first.

Remembering what it was like working on Win machines again. :Grimmace:
Think I'll continue playing ignorant. :|

It's been nice not having to spend 3-4 hours, a few times a month fixing computers.

Maybe no beer, but he's a hunter... bet I can get some Quail or maybe a backstrap or two out of it.

Ended up finding 48 viruses. Looks like that took care of the auto-loaders.
A little deletion of programs that didn't show up in Add/Remove programs and registry hacking - may not have to blow it away after all.

It's looking pretty good already.
