I recently purchased my macbook about one month ago. Lately i noticed this problem. When i press on the clicker it clicks very loudly without fully pressing down the clicker. Here is a video i pulled off youtube that exactly demonstrates the problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq1ssu0cXB0 . What could be the cause and or could i go to the apple store to fix it since doing some research online it seems to be a defect on macbooks.

I experienced the same problem after 10 months of use. If you are still in the warranty period, they will replace the the entire keyboard, including the trackpad button. They can do it at the Apple Store if the part is in stock, though you'll probably have to leave it overnight. If no Apple Store nearby, you can mail it in to the Repair Depo.
