iPhone won't show up

When I plug my iPhone into the dock it does not show up on my desktop like everything else, anybody have any suggestions?

It will only show up in iTunes. It won't show up as a disk on the desktop.

Soulwar is correct. There is no disk mode for the iPhone, hence why it does not show up on the desktop.
