Hi all, just brought a MBP ..

and loving it.. it has so much style compared to me sony viao!

I am having a problem though. When I press Alt+Tab to change programs, I can scroll through the different programs, but when I select one of them nothing happens??

Can anybody help!

welcome and congrats on the new mac

to switch programs use the command+tab key

command is the apple key by the way, baffled me for a bit looking for one with cmd or somthing similer on it

Hold apple key and tap tab until what you want is highlighted then stop and it will go to it

I have tried this and it doesn't work???

Any other ideas? Is there an 'options' setting that I have missed?

Let's go back a sec. Are you sure you aren't switching? When you close a program's window, it actually remains open. You can see up in the menu bar that after closing a window, the menubar continues to list the application. Could it be that you closed the windows, but not the application, so that you are cycling through apps that don't have any open windows (but the menu bar changes to show you are now in it)?
