Hello, i ws just wondering if there are any recommended downloads for macs for any further security, like with a PC you have AVG or what have you...


I don't know if one is even needed but i thought i better check incase i have any problems, cheers

Don't bother with anything else.

ok sweet, so there isn't a threat from adware/spyware/trojans etc etc etc?

There's essentially no spyware or adware on the Mac.

The only effective protection against trojans is the person holding the mouse. (That is, check programs out on MacUpdate or Versiontracker before you download and run them.)

You would, however, be well advised to turn on the system firewall. (Do a Spotlight search for "firewall" on your Mac.)

Shall i set it as 'Allow only essential services' and have it on 'stealth mode'?
