I am an avid fan of Age of Empires and Call of Duty 4, is there a game, on any platform, that combines the strategy and game-play of AoE but set in a modern era? Either from WWII to present?

I have heard of Command & Conquer, is there any other sort of game?

You'll enjoy Command & Conquer, Company of Heroes, and most especially World in Conflict.

Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is a futuristic RTS.. I've got it on Xbox 360, don't think they have it for Mac though.. However, you could bootcamp to Windows and play it that way.

There is always the old Starcraft. And a sequel being made as we speak. Apart from that I'm not so sure.

Do any of the C&C games run smoothly on intel Macs?

I am hesitant to install bootcamp, though if the right game comes along...

My brother and I used to play Command & Conquer over the LAN. I would play on my Windows desktop and he'd play on his aluminum iMac. It looked great on his machine and was real smooth too.
