Using FireWire to accept Video...is it possible?

My cable box has a FireWire port in the back that can be used for video. I was wondering if there is a way to connect the 2 together to use my MacBook Pro as a display to transfer and/or record video?

Just try it. Hook it up and start iMovie and see if you can import video from it as iMovie might see it like a camera in play mode.
