Windows XP to macbook printer...

Well today I had an idea instead of buying another printer due to short of money, I decided to try and hook my computers (Windows XP) printer up with my mac wirelessly I have tried, but failed miserably and would be grateful if some one could help its A HP deskjet (sorry dont remember the exact make but could find out if thats what u need) an I would like it to be able to connect to it wirelessly from my room thanks in advance and sorry if its been posted or has been posted i wrong Tread.

Get Bonjour for windows. Works easily.
Turn on printer sharing in System Preferences.
