I have a G5 1.8mhz Mac and I recently had to replace my DVD/Superdrive. I bought the Pioneer DVR-115 and it slapped right in. Toast recognized it right away and the disc mounted perfectly. However I am having problems with iMovie seeing a DVD burner. When I try and hit the "burn Project to DVD" button it says, "No burner recognized" or something to that extent. Is there something I am missing? I am not new to Macs and honestly under normal circumstances this would be no problem, but one thing I have never done is replace a Superdrive. I bought the pioneer cause I thought it was a great replacement as the old burner was a pioneer also.

does anyone have any advice?

I think I solved it myself. You just need to download Patchburn 4 and it works just fine now on all programs...

Thanks

Michael
