Hi guys,

Finally got round to buying a mid-range Macbook. Brilliant little thing, been playing with it all day, love it!!

Anyway...what I'm curious to know is can you tap on on the tack pad to make it click something, rather than using the button? I.e. like a conventional laptop.

Many thanks,

Zak.

Open up System Preferences and click on Keyboard & Mouse. Click on the Trackpad tab and in the middle there are options to enable Clicking by tapping and double clicking by two finger tapping.

yup, go to system preferences-->keyboard and mouse-->trackpad and check it of there. It was sort of annoying that they didn't have it turned on by default, but i can understand why they would do that.

I also suggest turning on right-click by tapping with two fingers. Makes it much easier than ctrl + click. Found in the same place ;)

This is my fave part of the Mac experience - the touchpad.

Don't forget the two fingered scrolling option - that is so useful :)
