Im just wondering what options or selections there are when you start a macbook up and what keys are used to do what, EG the key used to access the bootcamp menu.

also, does the macbook have a bios and what key is used to access it?

If, for some reason, i wanted to format the whole hard drive and insert a linux/windows disk to install how would I go about doing this with ought the use of OSX?

Im not planning to do this but im just wondering what is possible with my mac.

All I know is that the boot up menu to choose from what you would like to startup from is gotten to by holding down the option key upon startup...

use bootcamp to install different operating systems, hold the crtl key to choose what OS you want to boot from. Also using OSX is the best and as far as i know the only method to install a different os

Why would you buy a Mac to erase OS X and only install Windows?

Buy a cheap PC...be done with it.

That question should go in the appropriate forum which is not this one.
