Hi all,
I have the following problem... I have installed Mac OS 7.0.1 under macvmini, but I want to install it some software. I have tried all kinds of files - .bin .hqx .sme .smi - none of them work ... I always get the message, that the software which created this file cannot be found... Please help, how to install files.

Thanks in advance

You will need to get a earlier version of stuffit expander to decompress you application.

7.0.1? Struth I think that was the big update from 7 when I was on an LC with 160MB HDD and 8MB RAM. Came out on about 7 floppies! rman is right I think you will need to look for Stuffit Expander, about version 6 from memory.

Yes, I looked! I have tried StuffIt Expander 3.5.2 in hqx and bin format, none of them work.
The installation comes in such formats ... How should I install it?

the expander should come in a self extracting container.

I have found it as a .bin or as a .hqx. Even from their site is .bin... Do you have a link or something ...?

Just tryed 3.5.7 .sea format - the same result - "application not found".
