Do macs ever freeze/crash?

If I went to a lot of bad/porn websites and started downloading stuff there, will anything happen to the mac, or is it safe like everyone here claims it to be?

All computers suffer freezes through software and hardware conflicts, Macs less than others however. there have been reports of a trojan horse, called Trojan Horse, being picked up from porn sites. Do a Google search on it.

I don't know anyone who would claim that any computer could survive downloading random things from porn sites (or any other sites.) There are real trojans that can affect a Mac, and you can find them if you look.

Freezes, though, can usually be avoided by forcing a frozen program to quit (ie, command-option-esc)

Is this a hypothetical question?
You shouldn't be looking at that stuff anyway. What would your mom say? :)

personally, iDVD '08 has "frozen" my MBP every time I try to use one of the new menu's. I have to do a manual restart. The rest of the menus work fine.
