My HD is shrinking. I have about 25 gigs in iTunes, World of Warcraft, and Office 2008. But, I only show about 100 gigs free. I found something called a "sparse disk image bundle" that takes up 67.5 gigs. Can I just delete this?

I'd like my HD back.

Disk Utility's zeroing-out-free-space function uses a sparse disk that sometimes stays put if the machine freezes or kernel panics during the zeroing run. Did you zero the free space?

That sparse disk takes most of the free space on a disk or partition. It happened to me with Tiger on my G4. I had to boot into OS 9 to access it, and trashed it.
