simple question

I just bought a macbook and had it shipped to my mom, but when she glanced inside she saw only white and assumed that the laptop was shipped wrapped only in plastic, with no box? I was wondering if mac ships laptops without a box, I ordered it direct from apple soo??? I know this is a lame question but, I was just wondering.

she only saw white, i am assuming that she simply glanced and saw just the color of the box. I will find out soon enough though, but I am thinking that it was the box because of apple's pride in the aesthetic.
