• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi everybody!

I really need to find a free or really cheap way to put video on the "second" screen (protector) of my mac seamlessly, so I can still use the laptop screen to open the video files and when I open them they appear on the big screen with out any sliding or boxes like quicktime's present mode.

It would be a big help if you could assist me in my problem,

Thanks,

Couldn't you just drag the video over, maybe try out VLC.

Usually I have the playlist open on my desktop, the video full screened on the projector, (make sure you tune the settings so that any other movement in other windows wont affect the fullscreen).

Other than that, the only other thing I can think of would be Final Cut Express. It's not cheap, nor free. But it allows you to project out from your canvas.
