Greetings to all in the forum...just registered today....

Got a simple question for those who have already run into same problem if I may say so...

It goes like this...
People sometimes rip an entire album into one huge MP3 chunk...I've read that depending on the p2p app this may not be entirely true instead you should try to rename the file, which I did as in .sit, .dmg and neither opens correctly the file. Now it's pretty dumb just to burn one CD track although it contains all 12 original tracks on the MP3 file you can't select your individual songs that way. Is there a way in which I can fix that?

Thanks

First of all, stealing is wrong. So I assume you paid for that music :)
If the music plays as one solid track (try opening it with quicktime and if it plays do this: )

Find a sound editing program, and cut the music manually. (i could do it with iMovie but its long and boring, FCP does it 2..) I use sound studio well worth the money.

I fully understand and share your and anyones position in regards to this controversial subject such as ripping CD's and sharing/DL from all around the globe, in the near future hopefully when Apple opens it's market internationally I would surely enjoy the many benefits that the new features brought in iTunes4 can offer, on the other hand I extend my apologies if subjects as these are not tolerated in prestigious forums as this one...

Thanks for the tip and I'll work on it... I'll post again if it worked out for me!...
