Ok, I am well skilled in burning with Toast. I upgraded since I am running Leopard...and it seems like I am making more coasters than ever.

Anyone else having this problem? I am using Sony DVD-R....maybe I got a bad spool? I hope not b/c this has about 80 discs left in it.

Get a small package of another brand of DVDs and see if you still have the problem. You would know for sure if you have a bad batch or not.

If its not the brand then try taking down the burn speed a notch to see if that helps

it must be the dvds...b/c I tried to burn one last night...the first one failed and the second one burned ok....both Sony from the same spool as before.

Sony's are usually pretty reliable for me.
