add music to vocals

Hi a buddy of my recorded a song on to a cd but there is no music is there any software that i can import the vocals and ad music to it.

Garage Band? It comes with iLife and should work afaik. I've only played with it several times, but if it has even a fraction of the functionality that most tracking programs do, then it should work.
