magnetic plug saves the day already

i have only had my macbook 2 days and already the magnetic plug saved my butt. i had everything nice and neat off to the side thinking it should be safe there and still knowing it was there tripped and the plug came out. if the plug had not been magnetic my brand new black macbook would have crashed off the counter onto a hardwood floor.

It's saved me about 3x since November.

Its really a smart design. i wonder if apple has a patent on it.

company patents everything now a days

saved my blacbooks behind a few times in the last 4 days.

at least im not the only one. i dont feel as bad now.

Mine's saved my MB several hundred times. I wish all plus worked the same way.

Ditto..... with my MBP....

It hasn't saved the day for me (yet) but it is quite a cool design apart from when you move it and don't know it has come out.

In that case, it has saved the day.

its saved me virtually everyday, i also have a rocker X chair and to use it i have a red/white audio plug converter to put it from them 2 wires to a headphone version. Ive had 5 of these from snapping them off from catching them with my feet.


I also think this is a reason why schools should have mac books, as altleast 5 screens about £1000 worth has been smashed from students tripping over them. Macs would help

Yes they do.

I think that's also why you can't buy 3rd party Macbook power adapters. (At least I've never seen one).
