ipod shuffle fault

Hello to all on forum and hope you can help.My ipod shuffle will not play any of its music library.I have restored it via my G5 to its original factory settings but with no improvement.The tracks are showing as being on the shuffle when I connect it to the pc but when I attach the headphones and try to listen to the tracks nothing happens. It was working fine earlier and has since developed the fault.Thank you.

Which Version of the shuffle do you have?

I had one of the original shuffles, and broke the headphone jack connector.

Have you tried wiggling the headphones around while they're plugged into the shuffle?

Have you tried a different pair of headphones, or tried the pair of headphones in another device?
