Ok I know this is not going to be a popular thread, but I've been thinking about it since Microsoft discontinued IE for the Mac..

What are your thoughts on companies discontinuing their software for the mac because Apple makes the same type of software.. better?

IE - discontinued due to Safari
Premiere - discontinued due to Final Cut
Ecast - discontinue due to iTunes Store

Sure there are only a couple big ones, that I know of, but there are a lot of small third party companies or individuals that are discontinuing their software due to Apple coming out with something better.

Are we looking at the beginning of a Monopoly.. everything in me screams "NOOoooo" but I think that's because Im quite biased :)

Anyways.. thoughts would be most appreciated.

Cheers!

Rick
