Na. They are just losing control of their supply chain, etc. The bigger the company becomes, the harder it is to keep things secret.

They have also sued websites for posting secret things....

It is kind a hard to keep secret, when everyone is watching everything you do and who you talk too. Monitoring all of your patents and your manufactors that you use.

A little bit of leaked information is a great way to keep people latched onto the companies progress. I imagine the lap up a li'l bit of the limelight when people become obsessed with unreleased or announced hardware but to an extent Apple have always kept a close guard on their best kept secrets.

I guess apple does leak some stuff on purpose...
but when you see how many have gotten sued; the big announcements they still try to keep a secret.
(just my personal guess)

To keep everything locked up isn't a good idea. What one person might think is a good idea, many people might not find useful.
A rumor creates a good buzz, it would be something Apple might want to look into.
Am I convinced it is done on purpose? No. Most of what I read I don't read into too far. I'll wait till I can feel it with my grubby little hands before I go nutty.
