Hello!
(Mac reference intended)
I was a macophile back in the day and last owned a MAC SE/30 which I used up until 1997. I was pulled unwillingly into the PC world and have become comfortable there- PC has gotten better and it's waaaay cheaper.
I have the opportunity to get a new system. I already have the 30" cinema screen and am thinking of this set up:
* Two 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
* 4GB (4 x 1GB)
* 2 @ 500GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
* ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI)
* Two 16x SuperDrives
* Both Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme
I live in the PC world right now and will slowly migrate over so initially I'll be mostly PC with the goal of being mostly mac. Can I run Crysis and Bioshock and all the other kicking games for PC that I have right now?
I can't determine if this set upi will work with directx 10 or even 9 for that matter. The last reference I have is Dx8
Thanks for the assist.
K
