Due to a problem in i-movie I posted about that is to this day an unsolved mystery, in which after about 25 minutes the sound in the timeline broke up completely (ok when in clips pane or after burned to DVD) - I came up with a solution.
This involved making the second, third fourth and final part of my 1hr 30 min movie as seperate i-movie projects - exporting them to DV casette, then re-importing them as huge clips and adding them to the end of the first part, and finally trimming each end neatly.
I have absolutely no idea why this has happened - on more than one attempt, but on the DV imported sections - the sound is a fraction out of sync. Mostly noticable when very short clips have been timed to change with a soundtrack beat or most fustratingly - when people in the movie are speaking, the lips look half a second ahead of what they are saying.
Is there a reason why this is happening or is there an alternative? (Without winning the lottery and buying a new Mac which isn't cursed!)
