New Mac, Safari text issue

I recently purchased a Black MacBook 2.2. All I have to say is I love it. I'm slowly learning my way around OS X. I previously had a Mac Mini 1.5 but when I purchased it I didn't have the extra money to upgrade the RAM (512!) and sold it.

I have one question so far, within the past day I've been seeing a lot of overlapping or 'crunched' text viewing web pages with Safari. I did search but I couldn't come up with anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you installed or changed any fonts recently?

I also have issues with Safari not being able to open advertised web pages that Firefox can open.

Turns out I uninstalled Office '08 Beta wrong. I didn't realize it had an uninstaller and just drug the folder to the trash. I installed the trial of Office '04 again, restarted and all is well!
