Your Mac's Specs
G3 imac 500mhz and 266mhz, ipod mini
so heres the deal I bought a TV that has VGA input i read the directions and hooked up the mac. now it boots to the login screen in 640x480 the when i enter usr name and pswd it trys to change resolution to god knows what and then I get a "no signal" error. what is this..

ps when i hooked it up to my pc it didn't work at all. just no signal the whole time... could it have anything to do with the cable i'm using. its a really thin one.

this all happens on my G4 sawtooth mac with Rage 128pro 16mb video card

finally if i boot up with an old crt monitor it works fine then i can switch to the LCD change it to its native resolution and it works fine... so.. what should i just never restart or shutdown...

thanks in advance
