I have a plethora of blank cds and I want to burn my iTunes to them. But almost every disk I put in says:

"The attempt to burn a disk failed. The device failed to calibrate the laser power for this media."

Does anyone know how I can use these blank cds? Thanks.

Which brand of CDs are you using? Have you tried a different brand?

I tend to use Verbatium, TDK, imation, and Maxell.

I had the same problem when trying to burn an iso to a dvd. I was using a generic disk from a local computer shop. I went out and bought a 5 pack of some brand name disk (i forgot what brand...sorry) and had no issues. It seems my macbook pro just didn't like the disk. I haven't had any issues with burning since.

It's Sony 700 MB, and it's garbage.
I guess I should just go with the most expensive from now on....

Try another brand and see if you have the same problem.
