What do you have for Christmas EvE Dinner

Im Cuban so we have:

Roasted Pork (Entire Cooked in the Ground)
White Rice
Black Beans
Yuca
Plantains
Cuban Bread

Oh my so delicious

I am going to a restaurant here in a bit, it has a view of the beach so I think it is pretty safe to say I'll be having fish of some type.

I have a bag of sugar.. A can of corn.. Some tea bags and coffee beans..

hot dogs or chicken strips and french fries. but tomorrow night we're having garlic mequite ribeye, baked potatoes, sausage stuffing, and plenty of drinks!

I just ordered a pizza......

T-Bone steak

We always have Tacos on Christmas Eve. I'm not sure how it started but we have been doing it for almost 10 years now...

I could go for a nice big, dirty, greasy slice of some Zza right now.. I haven't had it in months.

I'm honestly a huge label-checker when I buy food.. I've been trying to lose weight the last year and went from 305lbs to about 250lbs now.. ALl because I watch what I eat.

But pizza.. mm..

Shrimp Creole

We always have cheese, pate, some hors d'oeuvres, and plenty of sparkling wine.

We have posole and 5 cheese lasagna (for the veggie only). I made cheesecake and gingerbread men cookies, we also have pumpkin and apple pie.

Dinner tonight was . . .

Posolé & tamalés . . . a good Merlot later.

My family did the whole Christmas thing Saturday. Tonight I had a #1 from Hardees. I wanted a nice big t-bone myself with a nice glass of wine, but when I got to the supermarket they had literally cleaned off the meat shelves. I still got the wine and bought a frozen turkey dinner instead; decided to save that impressive meal for tomorrow.

We usually have turkey, cranberry sauce, dressing, and pumpkin bars and some other stuff I can't think of.

The whole shabang and the entire family (moms side).

Unfortunatly this year I moved so...turkey, and tomorrow lunch with my dads side of the family cause I live closer to them now (can't stand them) I'll see how it goes.

Mine was a bit different. I am friends with a Cambodian family and they had me over for dinner. Cambodian food. Quite good. Very different Christmas eve dinner!


Tomorrow I will be going to Family and we will have Turkey, Ham and all the other things and pies and cookies and other fattening but GREAT tasting food!

Somehow we got into the "tradition" of having pizza on Christmas Eve. Probably so that "mom" doesn't have to cook the night before the big feast on Christmas Day. Our feast typically consists of turkey and ham, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and rolls followed by pumpkin and/or pecan pie.

I just pretty much eat whatever I'm in the mood for. Tonight, I went to El Pollo Loco and picked up an 8 piece chicken.

Rib eye, baked potato, salad and roll.
