Transfer Movies, Music and Files.

I'd like to transfer all my files and stuff over to my mac from my pc, But got confused after looking at the apple switch 101 migrate page.

I have two ethernet cables if that helps and a router. Just didn't want to pay for a program that does the same thing as the ethernet cables according the apple site.

How to conect the two by ip. it just confusing

go to

 menu . System Preferences . Sharing



On the services pane select windows file sharing

at the bottom you will be given a network adress the pc can use to connect to the mac

ill try that in a minute pc just starting up takes ages. another reason for the switch.
