Hey. I just acquired a new imac G3 with MS OS 9.2.2. I just wondered how to look up the specs on it. I don't know anything about Macs, I'm converting from windows machines ;).

I looked it up by going to "About this computer" but it doesn't give me enough details like RAM, processor and stuff like that...

All it says is:

Version: Mac OS 9.2.2 Mac OS ROM 9.5.1
Built-in Memory: 128 MB
Virtual Memory: 129 MB used on Hard Drive
Largest Unused Block: 99.4 MB

Plus I also have a disk of Mac OS X 10.4 that I would love to install on this machine and I know I'm probably going to have to put in some more memory and upgrade a lot. I'm willing to do that.

Any info I can get on this topic would be fantastic. Thanks!

To WHOEVER left me negative feedback...I'm on this web page right Now with OS 9.1 and if I click on the apple icon, the rainbow one, in the drop down menu
is Apple System Profiler...If you want $100 text book answers, call the Geek

Gateway2000 P5-60. 66Mhz and 128 MB RAM.
Mac_SK is completely right about the system profiler being under the apple logo. It should tell you everything you need to know
