AppleCare Protection Plan question

I didnt buy the bestbuy warranty plan as i understand apple has a service plan as well for 250 they give you 3 years warranty and bestbuy they only give you 2 years

so I was wondering if I go with apple's warranty do i have to purchase it within 90 days? wondering if anyone can shed some light on apple's warranty

You can buy one anytime within a year from the purchase from Apple. It's around 150 too, not 250.
