hide XP partition on Mac!

i've got xp installed on my mac. now i don't want it showing up on my mac desktop, any idea how i can remove it from my desktop, my windows is FAT formatted and not ntfs! any ideas ?

^^ Well if you uncheck the Hard disks, your Mac HD will also not show. However, you can then drag an alias of it from Finder. Again, this is not the ultimate solution as it will follow the conventional way of ordering things (sort by name). So your Mac HD might come in the bottom row.

Another way is to somehow auto unmount the XP partition from disk utility. As of now you have to go to disk utility, and click on unmount.

What you can do is make and save an automator action that will unmount the Windows partition, then add that action to your login items so it's automatically gone when you reboot/log in.

Kidding aside, I looked into everything I could think of and haven't found anything useful. Sorry. :-(

yeahhh.... well i'm fine with hiding the hard disks, made an alias of it and now the windows partition won't showup!

Put a . in front of the partitions name while your in windows

When in Windows type a "." (period) in front of the partition name, (right click on "C" drive and in properties just put a period in front of the name, such as

.Windows XP
