Thank you, My name's Matt. I'm new to mac and I want to use bootcamp to play come PC games and run some of my old pc programs. Also, I have some questions.

1. Will Bootcamp whipe out my hard drive?

2. Is there any way to save my date on the MAC OS, because I have a lot of important things, and don't have the resources to backup.

Thanks, Please reply soon.

Bootcamp doesn't touch any of the data on the MAC OS. It simply creates new partition. So don't worry and use bootcamp to make a partition to run windows.

And the best thing to do - especially anytime you're doing anything related to modifying your partitions is to read the manual. Strongly suggest you open up Bootcamp Assistant and print the manuals/guides. Read through them to get a basic understanding of what is going to occur during the installation.

Then when you find something you don't quite understand or have a problem in some aspect, you'll find it much easier to get some help. No one really wants to re-type the manual here in a forum. But you should find ready help if you get stuck.
