Noobie here.
I want to transfer recordings from my Sky+ box to my mac and also convert vhs tapes to dvd. I know that I'll have to play the recordings from sky and pick up the analog signal for recording.
What is the best capture device for this?
I've looked at the eye tv 250+ but I don't need the TV tuner, I just need a basic capture device.
Also, would you recommend a seperate encoder or let my mac do the work?
I'm running a standard imac 20" and a black macbook (this is what I'd likely use to copy programs and I wouldn't use it for anything else while this was going on)
